The Airlift/Tanker Association Board of Officers recently approved “Heritage, Heroes, Horizons” as this year’s theme to celebrate the 50th anniversary convention. The 2018 Airlift/Tanker Association and Air Mobility Command Symposium and A/TA Air Mobility Technology Exhibition will be held at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas from 25-28 October, 2018.
This will be the fiftieth year since the Association founders first gathered in 1969 and began the tradition which continues to today. Over the years, convention activities have expanded to include addresses from senior defense leaders, educational seminars and a technology exhibition hall, plus award ceremonies and social events that bring the entire global air mobility community together on an annual basis.
This year, A/TA anticipates another outstanding slate of speakers that include the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force and the Commander of Air Mobility Command, among many others. There will also be approximately 36 educational seminars on a range of important and timely topics, from current military personnel and operational issues to mobility heritage presentations.
The convention also includes the Air Mobility Technology Exhibition, where attendees have the opportunity to walk through the technology exhibition hall and talk to industry representatives about current and future technology. Over 90 exhibitors are expected to participate this year.
On-line registration will open no later than 2 July 2018 on the Airlift/Tanker Association’s website at www.atalink.org. Additional convention information and announcements will follow on the website and via the Association’s Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages.
The Airlift/Tanker Association is a non-profit, professional association with membership consisting primarily of U.S. Air Force active duty, reserve, Guard, and retired military personnel, as well as civilian and industrial supporters of the air mobility mission. A/TA is not a Department of Defense organization and no government endorsement is intended or implied.
