Lt. Gen. Maryanne Miller to Get Fourth Star and Will Lead Air Mobility Command

Lt. Gen. Maryanne Miller, having been confirmed by the senate to the rank of general, will become the next leader of Air Mobility Command.

 

According to the Air Force News Service, “Miller will become the first Airman in the history of the Air Force Reserve to pin on a fourth star. In 2016, she became the first female chief of the Air Force Reserve and commander of the Air Force Reserve Command….Miller will become the first reservist to lead Air Mobility Command, a total force mission supported by the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve. “

Miller joined the Air Force in 1981 and has served as a pilot and wing commander, and on the Air Staff and Joint Staff.  Before her current assignment as chief of the Air Force Reserve, she was the deputy to the Air Force Reserve Command chief.
