A/TA Welcomes the Gail S. Halvorsen Aviation Education Foundation to the 50thAnniversary Symposium.
The Airlift Tanker Association is proud to be a corporate and strategic partner with the Gail S. Halvorsen Aviation Education Foundation. The Halvorsen Foundation congratulates A/TA on their 50thanniversary of service to the Air Mobility community, and supports the association’s strategic objectives to Support Mobility Airmen, Preserve Air Mobility Heritage and Strengthen Mobility Bonds. The Halvorsen Foundation provides aviation-themed STEM educational enrichment experiences for school children. Colonel Gail Halvorsen was inducted into the A/TA Hall of Fame in 1999 for his efforts during the Berlin Airlift and his role as the “the candy bomber”.
The Gail S. Halvorsen Aviation Education Foundation will participate in the A/TA 50thAnniversary Conference held on October 25-27, 2018 in Grapevine, Texas. Foundation representatives will be Col. Gail Halvorsen, Denise Williams (Col Halvorsen’s daughter), Col. Jim Stewart (Executive Director of the Halvorsen Foundation), and Phil Stewart.
