1.1
Personal Information
The Airlift/Tanker
Association understands your desire to protect personal information.
We don't disclose any personal data on you to anyone outside of
the Association and we never disclose your SSN Last-4 to anyone. We intend
to inform you how your personal information will be gathered,
tracked or used, and to give you choices. Please select one of
the communication channels at the bottom of this statement to
specify any special communication preferences.
what
information we gather and track
We request
personal information when you become a member, register for
the annual convention, request a service, correspond with us
or engage in certain other activities on our website. For example:
- If you
register for a convention on-line with us, we will ask you
for personal and financial information necessary to complete
the transaction - such as your name, address, and credit card
number, and data for making name badges .
- If you
request association membership online, we will ask you for
personal and financial information necessary to complete the
transaction — such as your name address and information
about your employment in order to better serve you individually.
You make
the decision whether to proceed with any activity that requests
personal information. If you do not wish to provide the requested
information, however, you may not be able to complete the transaction
or receive the service.
how
we use the information we gather and track
We use personally
identifiable information in the following ways
- To provide
you with information about your membership status, issues,
and services;
- Send
you your copy of the A/TQ publication;
- To assist
us in creating a program that is relevant to you;
- To provide
membership renewal notices
- To allow
you to become a member and attend functions at the member
rate;
- To provide
you with information that may be of interest to you;
- To assist
us in creating better products and services to meet your needs;
- To help
you quickly find information important to you.
with
whom we may share your information
From time
to time, we may provide your information to Association Chapters
so that they may communicate to you information about
services that they believe are important to you or your activity.
If you prefer that we not provide your information to our Association
partners, you may let us know using one of the methods described
in this policy.
At the conclusion of the annual Convention and Symposium, an attendance roster without ranks will be made available for a short period to members and registrants only. This PDF roster will be searchable and printable; but the data will not be electronically extractable. If you prefer that we not provide your contact information to other attendees you may let us know using one the methods described in this policy.
The Airlift/Tanker Association retains the services of outside
contractors to provide services for us. They may be used to
ship products, provide technical support, or handle membership
and registration processing. We require that these contractors
keep the personal information of customers secure and confidential.
We also require that these contractors use personal information
only on behalf of The Airlift/Tanker Association.
Please be advised that in certain instances, it may be necessary
for The Airlift/Tanker Association to disclose your personal
information to government officials or otherwise as required
by our legal obligations.
choice/opt-out
You may
choose to mail or fax information rather than send electronically.
You may choose to not receive the A/TQ publication. You may choose to be omitted from the Convention roster. We may offer
you these choices at the time you give us your information.
If you do not wish to continue receiving our e-mail, newsletters
or publications, you can opt-out of receiving these communications
by communicating with us directly.

to protect your personal information. These measures include technical
and procedural steps to protect your data from misuse, unauthorized
access or disclosure, loss, alteration, or destruction. Credit
card information is transmitted using secure sockets layer (SSL)
encryption.
Since The Airlift/Tanker Association is global, we provide association
information on individual members to our worldwide chapters. The
personal information (other than SSN last-4 and credit-card information)
that you have provided to us may be transferred to Airlift/Tanker
Association Chapters around the world.
We make a sincere effort to respond to your requests to update
